Surveys: your opinion counts

Take part in your property manager's surveys, change your answer until the end and see the result – an opinion poll, not a resolution.

What are surveys for?

With a survey, your property manager wants to know your opinion – for example whether additional bicycle racks are wanted or how satisfied you are with the cleaning. Surveys are available for tenants as well as for owners.

The Surveys menu item (under More) appears as soon as your property manager invites you to a survey. At the top, under Current surveys, the list shows each survey with the end of its deadline and whether you have already answered. If it says starting soon, the survey has been announced; you can answer from the start date shown. Below are the Ended surveys – with a note on whether a result is available.

Answering and changing your answer

  1. Open the survey in the list.
  2. Answer the questions: tap Yes/No or a choice, tick all that apply where several answers are possible, choose a value on a scale or write free text (2,000 characters at most). Questions marked with an asterisk (*) must be answered; the others are optional.
  3. Send reply.

After that, Your reply shows when you answered and whether the answer has reached your property manager: being sent, accepted or not accepted with a reason. Until the deadline ends, you can adjust your answer with Change reply; the new answer replaces the previous one. After the end, in a named survey you can only read your answer.

Two days before the end, the portal reminds you by email if you have not yet answered – unless you have unsubscribed from reminders (see Email notifications).

Named or anonymous

VisibilityWhat your property manager learns
namedyour answer with your name
anonymousonly the answer – not who answered what

In anonymous surveys, the portal sends your answer without your name. So that a changed answer replaces the previous one and each person counts only once, your answer is given an identifier from which your identity cannot be deduced. The portal only remembers that you have answered – not what. If you want to change your answer, fill in all the questions again. After the end, you no longer see your answer in an anonymous survey. In a named survey the portal continues to show your answer.

Result

After the end, your property manager provides the result – only as counts for each question: how often each answer was chosen, with its share of all answers to that question. For questions with several possible answers, the shares can therefore add up to more than 100%. Free texts are not published; only the number of people who answered is shown there.

If it says The result is not available yet, your property manager has not released it yet. For anonymous surveys, a result is only available from three responses upwards, so that nobody can draw conclusions about individual answers.
